Wendy’s Review

By Isaac Strock

Home of Fresh, Never Frozen Beef since 1969. Does this ring a bell to you? One of the greatest fast food franchises in history. Wendy’s is a family-friendly business that makes sure everyone gets what they want. They offer a variety of food for kids and adults, making a perfect place to stop while on the go. Wendy’s is very evident in the fact that they want the environment and community around the Wendy’s organization to be the best possible. They do this in many ways. One of those ways is dedicating their time to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. A few of these goals are zero hunger, responsible consumption and production, reduced inequalities, climate action, and life on land. Supporting these goals shows the world that Wendy’s really does want to make a difference and help make the world a better place, both ecologically and economically.

Wendy’s was founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio. Dave Thomas was born on July 2, 1932. Dave worked for the US Army as a cook in 1950 and was discharged in 1953. Just like Burger King and McDonald’s, Wendy’s is great with what they do and how they do it. In November of 1970, Dave made the decision to incorporate Wendy’s first pick-up window. In 1980, Wendy’s hit a large milestone of 2,000 locations. Just recently, in March of 2020, Wendy’s launched their breakfast menu through the U.S.

My experience at Wendy’s was a lot better than other fast food restaurants. I did not get the same experience at a franchise like McDonald’s or Burger King. The service and quality that Wendy’s provides is far above average, making it a good place to stop by on the road for some tasty food. With 5,894 locations, Wendy’s is very accessible to almost everyone. When I went to Wendy’s, I ordered a 4 for 4$, with a junior bacon cheeseburger, fries, chicken nuggets, and a tropical berry lemonade. I loved dipping my nuggets with their barbeque sauce. The cheeseburger was also amazing. I would definitely recommend getting this.

Although I have given a good overall review so far, there are a few things that could be worked upon throughout the Wendy’s franchise. Although the service is good and fast, I do think they could work better on how to make conversation or talk to the customers. My experience talking to employees there was very dry and showed very little respect to me and the way I talked. Besides the communication part, I think Wendy’s did a great job.

I would definitely recommend getting yourself some good tasty nuggets from Wendy’s, and possibly trying out the tropical berry lemonade. Great for family and friends, not a date. I would not recommend taking your s/o there for a special occasion, it probably wouldn’t turn out the way you expected.
