Texas Roadhouse is a casual dining experience that serves the general public with their Texan style restaurant and menu. They have two restaurants in the Grand Rapids area and 596 locations in the country so customers will be able to find multiple in just about every state. If you go onto the website you will find this right as you click on the page, “At Texas Roadhouse we’re famous for our Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, Ice-Cold Beer and our irresistible Fresh-Baked Bread. We take great care in everything we prepare, served with big smiles at a great value.”
Texas Roadhouse was founded in 1993 in Clarksville, IN by Wayne Kent Taylor, who wanted to create an affordable Texas-Style restaurant. Some other similar businesses are Logan’s Roadhouse which was based in Houston,Texas. The mission of the restaurant is to “provide legendary food and service committed to our shared core values of passion, partnership, integrity, fun, and purpose.”
When I went to Texas Roadhouse I ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, and then for my entree I ordered the chicken critters, steak fries and a side salad with ranch. Everything that I ordered was very good, except now because of COVID they don’t allow you to eat peanuts at the table anymore. When traveling there expect a wait, since all the times I have gone there I have waited at least twenty minutes. In order to get to the parking lot it’s a little tricky since they only have one entrance that also leads to many other restaurants/ businesses so it was a little tricky to find parking. I recommend that if you go there and order an appetizer you might want to order a light entree since you will end up with leftovers for the next day.
The service wasn’t the greatest, when I had gotten my check the server had never come back for my card and was never even seen, so I had to resort to paying online which wasn’t my original option. Overall it was a great experience with great food and I will definitely be back.
