Everyone looks forward to Friday night bowling with their friends. But what if you could do it every day? If this sounds fun, the Grandville Girls Bowling team might be the best place for you! After school the team heads over to Fair Lanes to warm up before their two hour practice full of fun.
This Bulldog team is made up of eight girls – ranging from freshman to seniors. All of the girls on this team share a great bond on the lane. Senior, Aliana Beasley shares: “I love hanging out with friends, we have become one big family.” Samantha Topolski also comments that: “My favorite part about bowling is being around everyone.”
This year has been the biggest turn out for the girls team in a few years. Both girls emphasize that they would love to see more people join the team next year to continue to keep the team alive. Coach Jason explains that: “You don’t have to have experience. We all learn together.” Grandville, if you don’t do a winter sport and you would like to branch out, try bowling.
The girls bowling team isn’t just a team, it’s family. They learn together, they laugh together, and they compete with one another. These girls have made life long friends.
