Many people believe that they have to find “the love of your life” during high school or college. Our generation puts a lot of stress into finding someone in high school to be with for the rest of our lives. The truth is, only 14% of high school sweethearts actually get married. So many people worry so much about finding their special someone that they start slipping on school work. No matter how much grandparents bother their grandkids about getting a boyfriend/girlfriend, we just make sure we’re happy.

There’s a saying “You have to love yourself before you can love someone else.” Some may love someone else before they love themself but it’s really not healthy. If something were to happen and there is a break up, then a person may lose the only reason they love themselves. This can cause a lot more problems that high school aged teend just don’t need. Just be happy with life. Don’t worry about finding someone so soon. It will happen someday…when it is supposed to happen!
