Humans of GHS – Ellie Barrett (9)

Ellie Barrett

“Gymnastics has pretty much been my life for the past seven years.  I spend 20 hours each week working out at my gym in Holland. It may seem like it would be un-enjoyable, but I wouldn’t trade this sport for anything. Gymnastics has shaped me into who I am today. I have learned so many life lessons and developed lifelong friendships along the way. This sport has taught me that in order to succeed in any aspect of life, I must work hard, persevere through obstacles I may face, trust the process and be patient to notice results. In gymnastics, I have pushed myself to do things I didn’t think were possible. I have experienced many challenges in this sport, both physically and mentally, but at the end of the day it’s all worth it.”
