10 restaurants GHS students and staff recommend

Osgood Brewery

Osgood Brewery is located on Chicago Dr. in downtown Grandville and is a great place to get yummy pizza. It has a soft crust and it’s very flavorful. The hours are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The local restaurant has a 4.1 star rating. Joel Breazeale, Dean of Students at GHS, states that Osgood Brewery is his favorite place to eat because he likes all of the food there. Mrs. Carla Chamberlain, Attendance Secretary at GHS, loves it because her son-in-law, GHS teacher Mr. Denning, owns it.

Noodles and Company

Noodles and Company is located on Rivertown Parkway near Family Fare in Grandville. Noodles and Company is a wonderful place to get some great chicken noodle soup. It has a 4.5 star rating. and they are open from 11a.m. to 9p.m. Junior Josh Garner  says he likes to eat carbs after a workout and said it’s the best place to get a yummy carb loaded meal or for an after school date with his girlfriend. Sally Tran likes Noodles and Company because she likes the Pesto Noodles.

Kobe Japan

Kobe is the best place to get Japanese food in Grandville. Kobe is located on Rivertown Point across from the mall in Grandville. It has a rating of a 4.5 stars and they are open from 11:30 a.m to 10 p.m. Personally, I really like the sushi at Kobe. Senior Hailey Sytsma says the filet mignon is the best hibachi meal to get and orders it all the time. Senior George Pham  likes the place the best because he thinks it tastes the best of all the other restaurants like it in the area. Dirk Tipton says that the white yum-yum sauce is amazing and that he can’t ever get enough of it.

Carrabba’s

Carrabba’s is an outstanding place to get Italian food locally. This establishment is located on Century Center and has a 4.4 star rating. Their hours are 4p.m to 10p.m. I think the chicken marsala is the best item on the menu. Senior Graciela Alvarez  loves the fresh bread. Mrs. GW says it’s her favorite type of food and loves the atmosphere.

On The Border

On The Border is a fun restaurant to get Mexican food with a 4.3 star rating. I love the Border Sampler. I share it with my boyfriend and it fills us both up without getting an entree. I am also a sucker for their guacamole and chips. I just can’t stop eating them. I think that’s another reason why I don’t need to get entree because I get half full from the chips and guacamole. If I had any addiction, I would say I’m a chip-oholic! Senior Maggie Simons, a senior at GHS, loves the tacos. GHS Secretary Mrs. Ploeg says she loves the chicken quesadillas.

Qdoba

Qdoba is not a restaurant where someone serves you. It’s more of a restaurant where you get your food and sit down or bring it home to eat. This restaurant is located on Rivertown Parkway near Family Fare in Grandville and has a star rating of a 4.1. Their hours are 10:30a.m. to 11p.m. I  would recommend a burrito with the chip bowl.  Secretary Mrs. VanderWest  says she likes the loves their queso and chips.

Windy City Grille

Windy City Grille is a restaurant to get Mediterranean sandwiches. Windy City is located on the Byron Center Ave and their hours are  11a.m. to 8p.m. It has a 4.6 star rating. Assistant Principal Mr. Lancto says he likes it the best because we don’t have many restaurants like that around here.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s is a great choice if you want to get hearty American food and is rated 4.1 stars. Their hours are 11a.m. to 12a.m. Applebee’s is located on Potomac Ave. in Grandville across from the mall. I  like the quesadillas and senior Hailey Sytsma says she loves the appetizers. Mrs. Beckett loves to go to Applebee’s during the half off apps promotion!

China Max

China Max is a convenient food court restaurant in Rivertown Crossings Mall to get Asian food and has a star rating of a 4.8. I  like to get a bite to eat there when I go shopping. Sophomore Aubrey Tomack likes the orange chicken. Mr. Groenleer enjoys the orange chicken as well.

Dungeon

Dungeon is a great place to get Mexican food and sandwiches. Their hours are from 4p.m. to 11p.m. and is located on Chicago Drive. It has a star rating of a 4.2. Mr. Kleinheksel says he likes this place because he likes the atmosphere. I haven’t found a favorite on the menu yet, but many people in the area have!
