Student section brings the beach to GHS

Despite the tough loss against De La Salle August 31, 2017, the varsity football student section stayed bright and beachy for the home-opener theme.

Seniors Kendall Hudson, Anna Bouman and Olivia Koetje wait excitedly as the Dawgs warm up. They were hoping for another win.

At halftime the Dawgs were losing, but senior Matja Saarenheimo-Vanderhorst and senior Sarah Kutchinski still believed the team could pull through.

“We’re gonna take an L on this game,” sophomore Miles Balley said. The boys then started making bets with each other on if Grandville was going to win or not.

The Dawgs were defeated and the football players joined on the field.
